Our team of professionals will take time to listen to your concerns. They regularly attend training and seminars to keep abreast of advances in dental techniques and materials and are committed to continued professional development. All are committed to the East Mews ethos of providing a high level of care through minimally invasive dentistry, and they provide the standard of care they themselves would expect to receive.
An important aspect of our philosophy is our firm belief that dignity, respect and empathy along with patient involvement and understanding are fundamental to providing high quality care for our patients.
All registered staff adhere to the General Dental Council standards for dental professionals and we are fully registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Tessa graduated at Dundee University with a Batchelor in Dental Surgery degree in 2012.
Hygienists are an essential part of preventative dental practice, they are skilled professionals who have a key role in the prevention and treatment of gum disease (which is the biggest cause of adult tooth loss). As well as treating gum disease they also have a very important part to play in preventing tooth decay by providing comprehensive oral hygiene and diet advice. As patients keep their teeth longer the emphasis on Dentistry is changing from treatment to prevention, and Hygienists are one of the most important personnel in delivering this change.
Our Dental Nurses are either qualified and registered with the General Dental Council, or studying for the NEBDN Level3 National Diploma in Dental Nursing. Their constant training provides them with skills to assist the Dentist in delivering your treatment and care. They perform a vital role in ensuring the surgery environment is as safe and pleasant as possible.
These are the people who will make your visit to our practice a pleasant one. They are your first point of contact, so they have been carefully selected to be friendly and competent. They will guide you through every stage of your visit.
